Operation Round Up Recipients

Trustees for the Dubois REC Operation Round Up fund met last month to award grants to seven local organizations. This brings the total amount of grants awarded in the community to $330,483.68 since 2011.

Details about this most recent round of grants are listed below.

Crawford County child Abuse Prevention Council, Inc. received a $2,000 Operation Round Up grant to purchase laptop computers and a locking file cabinet. Cindy Belcher, Trustee presents the grant to Sherri Bell and Mary Hoffman.

Dubois Volunteer Fire Dept. Inc, receive an Operation Round Up grant in the amount of $2602.60, to purchase medical bags for 26 First Responders, to allow them to provide basic medial treatment when they arrive on a scene before an emergency vehicle arrives. Operation Round Up Trustee Bruce Heeke presents the grant to Steve Kalb.

 

The Fraternal Order of Police, Wood Capital Lodge #138 received a $2,500 Operation Round Up Grant to purchase materials for a new roof on their lodge. Pictured are Michael Conrad, Carla Buechler, Trustee, Tony Mann, Ross Johnson, Nathaniel Kern, Stuart Wilson, Mike Stallman.

 

Kiwanis Club of Ferdinand received an Operation Round Up grant for $750 to help with start up costs for a fund-raising program, that includes providing flags in front of neighborhood homes for five national holidays. Operation Round Up Tina Hunter presents the grant to Evan Daunhauer.

Mentors for Youth of Dubois County received an Operation Round Up grant of $1,195 to purchase a used printer/copier to aid in producing marketing materials for the program. Operation Round Up Trustee Tina Hunter presents the grant to Ellen Corn.

 

Transforming Hope Center for Women's Ministries, Dubois County Chapter received an Operation Round Up grant for $1,285 to purchase a color copier to provide training and counseling materials and copies of other office documents to their counselors and clients. Operation Round Up Trustee Tina Hunter presents the grant to Sara Harris, Martha Mundy and Christy Thrasher.
